Love my shadow grey Emira. Classy in my opinion and fewer of them about. I particularly like the blue tint it has in full sunlight.

I managed to get the quote down to £718 with Manning by increasing the mileage to 5000 pa, reducing the vehicle value to £80k and keeping the excess at £900. Really happy considering what it cost me to insure last year and how much most premiums have increased overall :)

£803 renewal quote with Manning for my V6 with 4000 miles pa, NCB protected, wife as named driver, and street parking. I'm 45 with a clean license and live in Sussex. I paid £1431 last year :)

I couldn't agree more. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my Emira but an extra 40/50hp is all it needs to be perfect. If Lotus had offered a tuning upgrade as an option I would have gone for it 100% but not now or at the prices quoted and certainly not under warranty.

I haven't had the starting issues either and my annual service is coming up in March, so it would be good to know some more about what the software update addresses and whether you reckon its advisable given the issues other owners have experienced following their own updates.

Yeh my Emira does it but it's nothing to worry about. I was told that the skipping is a consequence of the steering design - apparently the Evora's do it too!

I'm not a fan I have to be honest, like I wasn't a fan of the presentation key box. Like you say had it been taken of your own car being built and rolling off the production line, then that would have been a nice touch!

I asked my Lotus dealer when mine had its recall in August to check the oil and filter and they did and said it was fine and did not need replacing. I had done 2000 miles at that point.

I had the exact same recalls all fixed by Caffyn's Lotus in Ashford, UK. They were finished in under 3 hours - first rate service! No further issues since.

Windscreen removal and replacement instructions for the Emira which was sent to me by Lotus Service Centre!

I had mine replaced in July with National Windscreens, and had been waiting since April. Got it done through my insurance so only had the £75 excess to pay
