    Eletre.... good bad..

Are those side-view mirrors actual mirrors, or are they just cameras for images displayed on a dash screen?

If Not The EMIRA .......... WHAT ? .... yes ok blasphemy perhaps

I placed a deposit at my "local" dealer in July of last year with the possible intentions of getting a V6 Emira. This was prior to pricing or any other real information being released. As I learned more, I've decided to forgo the Emira and opt for either a 2022 or 2023 C8 hardtop convertible...

!UPDATED! POLL: How many of you have placed a deposit and where are you from?

Yeah, definitely 1st world problems. I'm in sales and am still concerned about the supply chain issues my customers are facing, and there is a spiking covid variant affecting plenty of businesses here in the USA. I recently spoke to a nurse and she said that about 90% of the calls coming in for...

!UPDATED! POLL: How many of you have placed a deposit and where are you from?

Put $2,500 down last summer. However, after seeing pricing for the V6, I'm 90% sure I'm going a different direction. One with hardtop convertible that has 495 HP. I've already got an Elise, which I love, so I'll still have a Lotus. Regardless, who knows when either of these cars will...

    Australian pricing $195k

Ouch. With those kind of prices and everything else going on in Oz, it's as if the government there are doing everything they can to chase people out of the country.

    Launch Edition colour samples

Wow. The red looks closer to a fire engine red than a maroon metallic. The grey looks closer to white. The nimbus grey looks like they mixed the paint particles with a chainsaw. The blue now looks more baby blue. Looks like the best color choice will be the yellow.

    Speculative price

Any hopes that the Emira will come in at some "budget price" ($60K - $70K base in North America) is just wishful thinking. Just based on a few things like Evora pricing, new model excitement, and DEMAND, there is no reason to expect this car to start at less than an $80K base for North America...

The official Lotus Emira Deposit thread

Deposit placed with my first choice on the same color combo, with the diamond cut v-spokes. V6 with manual. Of the colors offered so far, I think the yellow really lends itself to show off its curves the best. Also thinking about passing on the obvious choice of black and going with the tan...

    Lotus Emira 1/43 Model Car

Saw a few of these online, and asking prices ranged $125 -- $155 US. Ridiculous.

Under the skin: Why the Lotus Emira's four is more exciting than its V6

I wouldn't say you're incorrect in describing the bulk of the Corvette buyers in the USA. But it's clear Chevy doesn't really have a marketing problem because they are selling every Corvette they can possibly produce. As you already know, it is rather expensive to live in the United States, and...

Under the skin: Why the Lotus Emira's four is more exciting than its V6

$30K more? Ouch. That doesn't seem possible. Especially when the V6 only has 2 more cylinders and comes from a common manufacturer. If that's the case I'll unfortunately have to get a refund on my Emira deposit and walk it over to Chevy. A much less expensive, 500hp, hardtop convertible is...

Current Lotus Owners on the Forum?

I'm a newer Elise owner, and recently placed a deposit on the Type 131. I'm on this site to follow the journey with like-minded enthusiasts.

    Hello from the USA

Just chiming in on this forum to keep tabs on the Type 131. In early spring I sprung for a 2005 ardent red Elise. Love it. Wanted one for many years. But then Lotus goes ahead and releases something that is really calling for me in the Emira. I plunked down a deposit and will have to wait a...
