That sounds like manual gear changes to me? No a DCT. It also sounds like a V6. If it is the I4 then awesome! But why the slow gear changes?

Do you mean China is getting 400 hp I4 versions? This is very strange as more than one person at the factory has told me China is not getting 400hp versions, if anything emissions laws are stricter.

Thanks, even up close I struggled to see the difference in a car park full of them. That is the only criticism of the car I could make... the colours. I wouldn't have chosen any of the first 6 avaialable. I would have the new colours but am not prepared to risk my place in the queue by changing now.

My contacts in the factory report on speaking to those who have tested it the I4 is even better than the V6. They also say they do not believe the chinese are getting 400hp versions, although I am sure we will see it in the future. That engine has already been tuned to 500hp.

Stunning! Why does it look so different in different lights and with different wheels. I would definitely have had red if this was how it looked in more photos.

We know it is potentially tuneable to 500hp and the Merc A45s has done 0-60 in 3.3s with a couple of new parts and a remap.

So does China's I4 get 400hp? It must be easy to tune ours then.

Is it the supercharger kicking in late? I tested it on road and changed to the I4 as I felt I had to really rev it to get the supercharger contributing.

June 2022 last year. I originally configured V6 but changed after driving it. I was sent an email asking me to lock it in for production March this year (which I did within 10 minutes of getting the email). I live 2 miles from the factory so have grown up knowing it is so close but so far.

I have been told October 2023 which is almost a year earlier than I was previously told. I really think the I4 is going to be the one to have.

I was going to have red because that was the colour of the esprit on my bedroom wall as a kid. But its just not right. The red the Electra comes in is awesome (saw it at Hethel) and I suspect the new vivid red will be perfect.

I have changed to the i4 following a v6 test drive. I went away from the drive and couldnt put my finger on the issue. Greasy, unfamiliar roads... You have to really floor the v6 to get max hp out of it - supercharger is more linear and kicks in later than a turbo usually does - but for me also...

No not a chance. I have waited 35 years for this car. I am using what is left of what was going to be a house deposit or pension. I may be sleeping in the car but I am having it! :-)
