Just received an email from Lotus with a list of new venues and times for looking at the car. There are some next week at the factory, I've booked 28th in the evening. This has got to be the best place to view the car and ask questions to the right people!!

Lovely car But I prefer the Emira’s looks even ignoring price!. I think Lotus have done an amazing job on styling, the smooth lines for me are so much more stylish than all these so called ‘super cars’ so chuffed to be getting one! 😀

I agree, I bought my Elise 20 years ago from Stratton’s in Norfolk, my first new car and the whole experience was fab. It felt something special talking to the dealer about specs and colours, we had a factory tour and discussed things with Lotus people there. There were also driver training days...

Good News!! I'm hanging on configuring and paying next stage until I've seen the car and colour samples (inside and out) at Endeavour Colchester as I'm still undecided and there is a small conflict of opinions with the wife!!!......... :)

Agreed!. The Emira is meant to be a drivers car I wouldn't want all this stuff anyway!!

You can still cancel after 5th and get a refund, not sure when the firm order date will be, but I would have thought that would be after available finance deals are announced as I'm sure most will be in a similar situation

Definitely choose colour by 5th and pay £3k otherwise you lose your place in the queue!. I want the car and to be honest I think it will look great in any colour. No one really knows how many deposits they have, but my gut feel is a lot and if you delay for more choice then I reckon delivery...

Placed 8th July 11.01am at Goodwood!. Have a signed business card from Scott Walker the UK Sales Manager to prove it! ;) I think the calls are all a bit random, but the 5th November is the key date for securing build slot

Had my call today, I was told that we had up to 5th November to finalise specification and pay £3k second refundable deposit to retain my delivery spot based on date of initial deposit. They can't give any idea where I am in the line until after 5th when they know how many FE V6's have been...

I agree, does anyone know the pros and cons of vinyl wrap. I’m not sure if I want the full black pack and wondered if it might be possible to wrap afterwards. What sort of quality finish would it have, budget costs and whether it is removable?

My deposit receipt was a signature on the UK Sales Managers business card!! :) All seems to be going through ok except I can't get a time to view the car yet!! I was told that when you spec the car they will require another £3k refundable payment to secure production slot although I was given...

My feeling is that it will be the same or similar static car I saw at Goodwood, I'm not sure it is going to tell me a great deal more. Important thing is to get specs, pricing and estimated delivery time so decisions can be made!! Might see you there!

I was told at Goodwood, if you look on the website they are service only. Nearest one to Hethel is the Hyundai dealer in Colchester! It’s a shame, I’m based in Suffolk and bought an Elise from Stratton and they were great. Won’t be the same going to a Hyundai dealer!!!
