Anyone else in the UK having issues getting an insurance quotation?. My car is meant to be arriving in July but no one wants to give a price, even budget at this stage?. I was going to book a tour but customer services said that if you collect your car from the factory a tour is included. As I’m meant to get the car early July and live less than an hour away I think I’ll wait! Otherwise it would be a no brainer!

Looks like delivery is about one month later per day of Goodwood. My guess is this will ease as deposits per day must have dropped a lot post Goodwood.

Yup did that one and just fab! You are very lucky with the roads up there, we will be up there regularly after last years 3200 mile trip in the Elise as a scouting mission! Our stop offs in the attached!.

Did Scotland in the Elise last May it's brilliant but to be honest the 500 is over-rated (so many campervans etc.) there are so many better areas, West Coast and Islands for instance.

Won't be able to do the whole West Coast as sailing in Cork, but will do a bit of it!!

Ireland is booked end of July!! if Emira arrives in time (I've been told July!) it's going if not it will be a 21 year old Elise! Either will be great!! :)

The callers must be busy today, had my call for July delivery :) as above can change spec up to 4th with no delay, after that then one month delay. They wouldn't give me an idea of date, hope it's early as would like to take it on holiday at the end of July!! 🤞 Happy Days!

I seem to think I read or heard somewhere that the only Lotus quicker round the track was the Exige 430 Final Edition

On that basis I will be very early July as my deposit was 11.01 on 8th July at Goodwood 🤞

I got the very long reference number in my confirmation email but no idea about a build ID? Maybe that is for non uk customers?

From my personal point of view I agree with your comments about manual gearboxes. However Lotus need to make cars to suit all types of driver to survive, the world is changing fast and most new sports car drivers just want DCT or similar and other manufacturers are going down this route. From...
