Written and sent this same email multiple times…….crickets.

I’m in a non- CARB state, no cars at dealer, but I’ve got a VIN # and was told my car has been “processed”, whatever that means.

Yes! Eight characters total. 2 are lower case.

I tried, and when I try to enter any character in lower case, it changes it to upper case, and it won’t work .

Where on the Lotus website can you enter your “spec code” (8 characters) to check it out?

My non-carb state dealer has no cars and says that that is not necessarily how it works.

Dealer called today…”My car has been processed” at the Baltimore dock……whatever that means. He has no idea if it will be brought to their dealership or stored near the dock. I’m in a non- CARB state.

From Facebook: Should have some actual photos of a U.S. spec car arriving at a dealer in Detroit in the next day or two. Will see: U.S.-spec headlights, visible (or not) shift linkage, rumored rear “bumperettes” around license plate. BIG, IF TRUE!

My dealer still says his FE 1.0’s are coming to his dealership before CARB approval. I’m in a non-CARB state, not that that matters.

Dealer just gave me my VIN #, and told me my Emira is on the water! 👍

By the time Lotus gets CARB approval, all 500 cars will be sitting at the dealerships, waiting for their owners to come in, write a check, drive off. 🚗…Next……..

Cars will go straight to dealers…..no being held at a central location. Cars will remain at dealers until CARB approval. Once CARB approval, delivering 500 cars will not take months! Imagine it will take a day or two!!!

Well, it sounds from other reports that at least 7 months.

I’m guessing they need the new Engineering/Emissions hire to handle the I4 and V6 auto variants. 😵‍💫. Sounds like that will take some time! They only applied for the V6 manual variant evidently! 🙄

Just got a call from my dealer. There ARE cars on the water currently. Cars will go to the dealers, but dealers cannot release the cars until CARB approval, which they anticipate getting in January. Any automatics and 4 cylinder cars are a long way out for the U.S. market….maybe a year.

From my dealer: Sounds like the big Monday meeting is no big deal! 😕
