Regarding the gear knob, what if that's the only one that Lotus makes for the Emira? I'm not sure they would have two types, laser cut and machined out, or they would have just put the best one in the car, right? Or if not, then why not? 🤔 Perhaps there are other knobs for other Lotus vehicles...

Reading all of this, I'm thinking three things. Don't drive it in the rain. Keep it in the garage. And don't carry anything in the boot so you don't have to open the hatch... Though I shouldn't have to think all that for a $100K USD vehicle. 🫣
