What’s your latest victory with your Emira??

@Bellsemple I don't know. I can't see how the valve would have been off 45 degrees. The Aerie spring is different than the stock interface with the valve, but once it was explained it was simple. Just don't turn the valve when you remove the old controller.

What’s your latest victory with your Emira??

@Bellsemple I've got the exhaust and the only CEL was from me improperly installing it and having a gasket slip.

What’s your latest victory with your Emira??

Even on what appears to be a wet skidpad. I've gotten it to break once but it was an off camber turn. Sporty thing that, but still managed a lovely controlled slide.

    Painted Supercharger Cover Thread

They sanded mine off afterwards. I mentioned this before but since we're resurrecting the thread, make sure you get the top media blasted to protect the coating underneath. My dealer told me removing the coating would void my warranty.

    Carbon fiber bits

Exactly. So I figure the center piece is necessary for rigidity so it isn't flexing under even minimal load.

When to shift during regular driving

It depends on what I'm doing. If it's just gradual acceleration I'll shift sooner. If I'm going for quick acceleration I'll shift later to get the most from each gear. But wringing it out to get to forty miles an hour seems boy-racerish. So, yeah, 3-3.5k is about where I shift generally.

What did you do to your Emira today?

My rear camera was obscured from the wet road.. I need a down wash light strip so I can see when I'm getting close to the wall.

    Carbon fiber bits

I'm going to guess yes. Looks aesthetic vs functional. Probably not strong enough for two JUBU people to stand on even with it in place.

Scratched it pulling into the garage. :(

    Anybody purchase wheels from Aerie?

Also, they mentioned something above about a request for special center caps that are made by someone else, and that requiring a fitment check before they dispatched everything?

    Anybody purchase wheels from Aerie?

I'm sorry that's been your experience. I've got one set of Aerie wheels. They look fantastic and the shipping was fast. There are no blemishes in the powdercoat, and they sent out yellow emblems as asked after the wheels came with black and gold. The owner is busy and can take a day or two to...

    Emira and Quick Jack

You don't need to angle it. I did a little bit the first time but not the second. I have the 6000 ELX. I positioned the rear at the inside edge of the lift points and the crossbeam on the front. You could however spin it and lift with the fixed points on the front and the crossbeam extended...

Custom Wheels getting made - Flush with fender or not?

If you get them totally stock you might find it difficult to find hub centric spacers that bring them flush since the offsets are different.

Both of my wheels are just under flush. No rubbing. I haven't lowered the car.

The gap doesn't bother me at all. It looks appropriate. Plus, with the extended splitter lowering it at all might be an issue. I already have to back into my garage at an angle.

📓 Journals How Hard Could It Be?

@Eagle7 talk to @JonFuller he's done the front bumper more recently than me and might recall the input I gave him that I've since forgotten. And that's where exactly the trim tool goes. I believe it's above the front bumper tabs so between there and the fender. The retaining clips grab it from...

No dollies used. Those are low profile two part ramps suggested here in the diy oil change thread. It was a four point turn. There was a lot of questionable stuff happening on this build, the first of which was me taking it on. The only other thing I've done with a car is installing a hidden...

Front bumper: Right pain in the ass. Necessary if you want to swap the front vents (for CF like I did, or for the ones with fog lights when they come available) Remove the screw at the bottom corner of the bumper, and this tiny anchor screw circled here. The dashed lines are where the clips...

Okay, some of this will be well organized and some of it wont. Things happened in a pretty haphazard way mostly because I kept hitting stumbling blocks. For those of you who have a service manual, you've probably noticed that some things aren't exactly accurate. All I can say is take lots of...
