Agree with all the above posts except disagree that the Emira is "more fun" than a Tesla or any EV. I'd argue they're both equally fun, just in entirely different ways and use cases. I got the first Model 3 Performance delivered to Florida back in July 2018 and drove it exclusively for 6 years...

It's only maybe 10-12mm lower than the OEM wheel and I'm not super tall, so it hasn't been noticeable to me if that helps. I've enjoyed the round wheel a lot.

6000 miles in and still looks new. I'm sure as time goes on it may get a little dirty, but I try to wash my hands before driving to minimize oils getting into the fabric. I also have Sonax Alcantara cleaner that I'll use 1-2x per year to keep it feeling soft and fresh.

Interesting idea! Surprised no one else has asked this, but how did you cleanly remove the mesh surround? If that octopus shaped piece was anodized or painted to match it would look great, but currently it makes it look a bit unfinished to me.

That's my car and the answer is no not really haha. I have EBC red brake pads I plan on installing soon that should hopefully help a lot with the dust. My wheels are also ceramic coated so the dust washes off pretty easily at least.

I have the 5000 series, got it on sale at Costco for $1200 a few years ago. I still plan on taking mine to the dealer in Jacksonville at it's 10k mi service and will probably have them do an oil change then too. But outside of major servicing, I like doing things myself for both money savings...

Just did my second oil change in the garage with a QuickJack. Cost me a whopping $55 for oil and filter and took about an hour, half of which was just getting the aluminum plate off... I think it was was 28 bolts (7mm and 10mm). Big fan of DIY if you can.

While I don't really mind the burble tune, if I had the choice I would remove it. I personally like real engine noises and not pre-programmed inefficiencies just for extra theater. Not really an issue either way though. The stock exhaust with the valve open is almost perfect otherwise.

The car does occasionally dive to one side under braking and vice versa under hard acceleration. It's caught me off guard a few times. Not sure what it is, maybe some gyroscopic or torque-steer effect from the transversely mounted drivetrain? Kyle Conner also mentioned it in his review here...

I also recently installed Signature wheels. Different design but similar weight savings. Offsets are +10mm front and +13mm rear compared to stock. I don't want to, but I think I'll have to lower the car 20mm or so to get rid of the wheel gap since it does look a little wonky as it currently...
