A low car just looks cooler, if you design a car to handle around how cool it looks then it'll have no give, no pliancy. Motoring equivalent of a fashion victim.

UK Road Fund License for I4 engine

I'd now make the same assumption and figures, but from a previous thread there is the strong suggestion that the i4 FE could have an OTR price approaching 75k, putting it very close to the v6 FE, which could make another £1500 not that important if you're going to spend that kind of money in the...

Only large supermarkets seem to have supply, don't bother with BP, Esso, Texaco etc. Hope you manage to sort something!

That will not be a factory setting for touring or sport, it's simply for drama. I'd suggest the one Jenson Button drove is the touring, question is will the sporting one be any lower or simply setup stiffer? (perhaps a little of both), the Lotus guys and gals at the roadshow should absolutely...

What?! the i4 FE is 14k above base?! It can't be, if it's that close to a manual car then the i4 FE wont get sales. 60k + light options will be seen as a steal in relative terms, and those willing to spend 74k on an i4 FE will just opt for a manual. If this IS true, then the performance...

    Prices

From dealers that I've spoken to, it's 7k discounted options from 12k individually optioned. You'll be looking at 68,995 is my guess when it's actually made public.

    Finance

Thank you for the information, the 0% was an interesting idea, there are a number of options I'm considering, but certainly not 5.9%, I'll add it to my roadshow (long) list of questions.

    Own Spec prices

Very true, knock 1k off the RFL, treat yourself to an alcantara wheel a tracker and some petrol vouchers. Agree that a 9k difference is a big chunk of cash. If that IS the off-set (and an additional 1k off RFL) then I cannot see them retaining the MT much after the v6 FE, there are fewer and...

    Finance

Heard this afternoon that finance will be on par with Porsche, 5.9% or something, it's not something I'm considering unless the 0% deal is passed in front of me, but the dealer says it wasn't taken up by many when previously offered on other models, so that offer type may not be present. I'll...

    Own Spec prices

Heard the uplift versus individual cost options is more like 5k, not that it matters much if you don't want all of them i guess. 76k v6, take off a few correlated sources of 7k-8k for subsidised options will bring the v6 base in at a very likely £68,995, a significant 9k difference over a base...
