My Specs:
Emira V6
Looking for anyone who’s dealt with this before on a Lotus Emira or similar Volvo/Geely system.

My original BCM was damaged, so a brand-new BCM was ordered from Lotus using my VIN. New BCM is installed, VIN matches, but immobilizer status in Cococlient is “Inactive / Not Ready.” Steering stays locked and car won’t allow start.

I have a brand-new, uncoded key fob (A340M6043S). Dealer tried running All Keys Lost to program it, but it failed — immobilizer status never changed from Inactive.

From what I understand, All Keys Lost only works if the BCM is already Active / Ready. The real first step is the Security Data Transfer / Parameter Reset to sync the BCM and ECU immobilizer data. Until that handshake is done, no key programming will work and the steering lock will stay engaged.

Worth noting — the dealer keeps talking about checking the key antenna, but with a donor BCM/infotainment pair, the antenna detected the fob fine and the fuel pump primed, so hardware is good. The block is purely security sync.

Has anyone here successfully gotten past “Inactive” status on an Emira BCM? How did you get the Security Data Transfer to work?
