To tint or not to tint? 😎

Just got car back from PPF, ceramic and tint just this evening. Went with 20% on the front windows, 50% on the front windshield and front windshield protection film.

All my cars have always been tinted with 5% ceramic. Love the privacy and aggressiveness it gives. However, the only car I decided not to tint was the Emira. Prefer the classier and cleaner look. Even My wife agrees (she first wanted it tinted aswell but seeing it in person she agreed to keep it clear all around). Only problem I have is just nooo privacy at all. Literally driving it around your being stared at every corner. So Im very hesitant to pick my nose when in it.

Just my opinion but have tried 35% and 20% on my cars and always felt like it can be darker at times. So from then on for me it was 5% or nothing lol Ive thought about playing around with 50% ceramic tint just to get the benefit of blocking heat but still able to see the interior. But have no intentions to do so as of now.View attachment 52774View attachment 52775View attachment 52776

I decided to have the dealership 25% my Vivid Red. Anything to keep the summer heat out of the car in Vegas. I decided on 25% as I can say the car came with me from TX to Vegas and 25% is legal in TX. Honestly the cops never pull anyone over here so I was tempted to do 5%.

There is a huge wealth gap here, so it is better to not give people more info than necessary on who I am. There are too many people here who plan their crime.

I am in the process of acquiring a seneca blue WITHOUT the privacy glass tint. I plan on getting ~55% on front, sides, rear qp, and rear glass (above the engine).

I want that subtle tint look vs. no tint at all.
I also want the tint to look consistent on all pieces of glass to give it that cockpit look.
Also, 55% is light enough where you can still visualize the engine in the rear.

How does this sound? good or bad?

No need for additional tint to side quarter glass or rear hatch glass with factory privacy option………door windows only to matchimage000005.webp

If it comes with the privacy package I would not tint the privacy glass. The privacy glass equates to a 15%-20% visibility tint. Tinting it further will do the opposite of what you want and likely make it unusably dark at night. I would also avoid tinting the glass behind the seats since no one sees that except you and it will just decrease visibility. If you mistyped and meant the car does not have the privacy glass then I would start with 50% all around and still leave out that seat glass.

Got a somewhat subtle blue chameleon tint on my windows. It's reflectiveness and blueness changes a bit based on angle. It can go from somewhat see-through to pretty reflective and blue based on the angle.

I totally messed my initial post. I meant that my car comes WITHOUT the privacy glass. Sorry about that typo.

I therefore was thinking about doing 50% on all the surfaces (windshield, sides, rear quarter panel, rear above-engine glass; but not the internal glass between inside and the engine)

How would that look then?
