Aluminum oxide provides a thin protective layer that prevents further oxidation, nothing needs to be done unless you don't like the appearance.

I've the same and have seen it on many other cars. It just looks a bit bad, does that stuff above clean it off or just protect it?

I have read that it will remove as well. As you can see from the picture though its still in a bag. It just got delivered this week. I am hoping to clean up my engine a bit this weekend but also have to do the boot/cage delete and give the car a good washing after last weekends shenanigans so time is tight. I bought the jug version so I could avoid overspray and apply with a rag. I'm hoping a toothbrush will be all thats needed.
