The filter is in-line and most don't bother changing it. It's kind of a PITA and the OEM metal filter can just be cleaned instead of replacing as needed. *edit: This is my experience with the Evora GT. @silent cilantro is correct noting that the Emira has a different setup.

I used 75w-90 in my Evora GT too. It's fine in the summer. I found the gearbox likes to be warmed up a bit longer in the winter though otherwise I have some trouble getting into gear while cold. Will switch back to 80 next time to see if it makes a difference.

Doesn't surprise me. Lotus is terrible at communications with the North American dealers. Us forum members usually know things before the dealers.
