Dealer just called and quoted around 15,000 JPY (includes tax) for the replacement panel. Close enough to the 60 quid previously mentioned in this thread. No in-country stock, so need to import it from the UK. Once replaced, I can play with the broken panel to see if it can be repaired /...

Nope. I think that's a US thing.

I don't have an i4 so can't offer much help, but I think it would be good to make sure all four (?) connectors are actually connected. Pushed all the way in? No pins bent or broken from previous unsuccessful attempts to connect? Did you remove any other cables during install? Anything melting...

Currently, I just throw the phone on the passenger seat :LOL:
