On the i4, would removing the engine bay cover but still channelling the cold air from the side vent (and blower) over the turbo keep it cool enough while allowing the excess heat to escape via the extra vents in this new lid??? Or is the engine cover still best to leave on?
Why post that.... maybe you are rubbish at your job!!!
Venting the rear glass will 100% lower the ENGINE BAY temperatures, and the engine should cool down quicker after driving as the excess heat has somewhere too escape (especially from the turbo). Having bonnet vents on my Renault 5 GT Turbo...
Interesting. I put on this spacer https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/276252733686 on the 2nd sensor and it's been perfect. I do only have the Aussie 360hp car though.... if that makes a difference.
What engine light code? I have the GRP Titanium exhaust and downpipe, and all my codes went away when I installed a $20 O2 sensor spacer from good old eBay.
Just to be clear I'm not saying the tune from JUBU is worth it. I've not had any dealings with them in this way. But overall, with the right tuner, an ECU tune is going to be the best choice.
I'm failing to understand why so many people on here think a piggyback chip is going to be better than an ECU tune or a fully new aftermarket ECU (although I'm not sure if a new aftermarket ECU will work on new cars now due to the amount of electronics run off of the ECU... maybe the aftermarket...
Nice. Thanks for the write up. What size flat head rivet nuts did you use? I want to fit mine the same. Makes removing it easier at a later date as well.
My front splitter and side skirts have arrived and are now getting paint corrected/buffed and ceramic coated. I'll probably have them fitted in a couple of weeks.
