It's not possible for the Emira to "adapt out" the changes made by the JB4. For that to happen the system just needs to be poorly designed. For example older systems that would alter boost pressure not mass airflow levels so the ECU would get conflicting datasets allowing it to learn one out.

We've had a few customers report 450whp+ dynos similar to ours. But the nature of how tuning on this platform works will allow for a wide variance of results. We are able to add the most power in lower DA (lower elevation, colder weather) situations. As elevation and inlet temps increase, the...

That is funny, somehow they've got dynojet a machine that measures power at the wheels to say "Clutch Power" and "Clutch Torque" with a made up correction factor inflating all the numbers. No wonder their chart makes 100tq stock more than ours did stock. First time I've seen that trick from them...

A piggyback tuning system must be properly designed, like the JB4 is, to avoid undesired behavior like that. And flash tuning can be great also but has its limitations at times.

On the tuning side RaceChip is what we refer to as a "dumb" box as it doesn't have access to CANbus data. The difference is covered in our FAQ: https://burgertuning.com/pages/faq I don't believe it's physically possible to add more power or torque via piggyback tuning than we do via JB4 map3...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

No it doesn't work that way. The extra data coming in is dynamic and changes based on real time run conditions. So the OBDII data is only active when fresh/current data is coming in.

Perhaps we have the boost reading in the app scaled low then if people are seeing 2bar factory tuning on a mechanical gauge. Any turbos with a JB4 on the car and a mechanical gauge can send in a video and log and if needed we'll adjust that.

You can just route it on a temporary basis when you want to have full logging active for example.

Boost will vary based on ambient conditions as the ECU is load based. But around 23-26psi on map2. Stock is 19-22psi in our testing.

Sure we can customize maps as needed. Keep those logs rolling in as that helps us evaluate things!

Map2 can be run on 91 but I would not do it without the OBDII cable attached, and then send in a log so we can review the timing/AFR for you to ensure it's safe. Also keep in mind when octane is below grade even though you can run map2, it might be the case that map1 is actually putting down...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Hey guys, just to clear up some general confusion: 1) Without OBDII the JB4 can only read in the sensors it's attached to. In this case the MAP sensor for boost and the MAF sensor for airmass and inlet temperature. Using only those parameters the JB4 can provide pretty solid tuning and map1...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

For the supercharged models the majority of the power gains come from additional engine boost by allowing the throttle body to open more. Here is a factory tuning log and one with the JB4 enabled. Note the JB4 log is running a more open throttle and around 2psi more engine boost. As to why...
