I got my R1 Fast Road kit delivered today from Nitron UK/ bought via KomoTec in Germany.
Has any else bought this kit from zNitron UK, and can tell me the spring rates you got?
I'm just curious about the spring rates as I suspect the ones I got is a bit hard.
It's 600 lbs front and 1000 lbs rear.
Yes, changing brakefluid adds more complexity and if you're not tracking the car/driving very hard on the streets you're probably good to go with oem fluid. (This should be changed every 2. year, as it's boiling point getting lower over time)
Brakepads are pretty straight forward to do, but I recommend that you do it together with some one familiar with how ro do it the first time.
This because it quite essential that this is done right as you really don't wanna fuck up your brakes. 😀
If you're gonna track your car I'll also...
I visited KomoTec a few weeks ago and talked with them and they say they are able to order for i4 also.
.
So I ordered a set last week and was informed that it was 3-4 weeks delivery time, so I will find out during August if this was true or not. 😊
At least KomoTec is a well known Lotus...
Have anyone seende any AFR readings when running this module?
Anyone know how big the injectors are and what kind of dutycycle they runs originally and arter you plug inn this module?
As it seems from this instalaiton guide and my assumption they fool the original ECU to think it's running lower boost and different RPM than the engine actually does.
And then relay on that the ECU are capable of adjusting fuel and ignition on these false inputs, so it still runs safe and not...
@Kaz,
I wonder if this engine sound is sent to all speakers or just sub and the rear speakers?
If so it might be a solution to only use the signal to front speakers into your DSP and use this to split it again? (If you have new DSP and amp for all channels)
@KJWEmira
I will update, but I will probably don't start any build before next winter. I will enjoy driving and finish my new garage this summer, so I have a decent working space for projects like this during winter and snow. :)
No I didn't remove the amps in my MB. Here I got a complete...
Hi @KJWEmira
Thank' for a good reply.
I see your point, but I might investigate further to see what happens if original amps ar3 disconnected/removed. I intend to keep the Emira forever, so I might use some more time to build a decent sound system in it compared to my MB I use for dd/work...
Nice setup and parts you've made!
Is there a reason way you kept the original amps?
If there is signal lines from the head unit I assume it would be a better end result to use this and skip the original amps?
I haven't received my Emira yet, so only in planning phase of audio upgrade and...
