That’s insane that they would blame it on the short shifter when the metal shavings which caused transmission failure was an INTERNAL thing; whereas short shifter is purely external. But I suppose can never be too surprised by Lotus 🙄😒 trying to get out of any an all costs post-sales. Typical.
Hrm...I wouldn't be opposed to it I suppose. However, shipping the wheels would be additional cost. Do you by chance have FedEx account? I hear that it's best to go through them and pay them for the boxing prior to freight. Otherwise they won't cover for any potential damages during freight.
Considering selling my factory black wheels since I got aftermarket wheel and tire set and would prefer them go to good use.
They are just shy of 3k miles street use.

I believe the 'fourth mode' was just referring to Track mode + turning off the ESC fully :p
Which technically isn't much of a separate 'mode' per se. Just that it is doable.
In order to turn off stability control completely, you have to press and hold the ESC off button on the Track mode screen for 2 seconds. Then you won't see "Track ESC" yellow light on the dash.
It does require a little bit more effort to enter each gate; but I feel that the tradeoff in directness and shorter throw is well worth it. But yes, time will tell.
If it's foam, it's a piece in the factory drop-in filter. It kind of is a buffer between the side air vent scoop and the filter itself. I can see that slightly increasing some induction/suction noise.
Ever since I got the Emira, one of my peeves has been with the shifter feel. I had previously test-driven the press vehicles that Lotus brought over and toured through the country, and I do recall the press cars also feeling as if they just slightly missed the mark. Though I brushed it off at...
Ooh yeah that could be why. I’ll pay closer attention next time to rpm, but I thought the raised rpm was at the top end, and not for idle. We’ll see.
I also just got a exhaust valve flap controller. Will be installing it soon.
Okay so here’s the screen grab views in each mode. So it looks like Track mode is only traction control off. But stability control is in track optimum mode. Can be turned off by holding the stability control off button for 2 seconds.
Valves seem to basically always be open for Track mode. But...
