Yep! On my car it will shift +1 gear up when I press to hold it but otherwise it’ll switch back to drive/auto after holding for 2 seconds. You should also be able to hold left and right paddles at the same time for 2 seconds to shift into neutral.

Hold the right paddle for a few seconds and it will go back into auto. Also, if you use the paddles it’ll automate switch back to auto with enough time as long as you don’t use them. If you use the gear shifter it’ll remain in manual mode until you hold the right paddle and switch it back to auto.
