Unlike the engine, isn't it the gearbox that Lotus take apart to change the ratios?

Good to hear that it can work well. You would think it would use the latest tried and tested control system from Volvo which from my experience is completely reliable.

I agree about the steering wheel. Small inputs are fine but I found it awkward to use for manoeuvring around car parks and tight bends. It feels oddly low when upside down and makes it difficult to go from lock to lock. A strange choice for a Lotus.
