3rd Cat Delete on Emira – Is the Milltek Valve Controller Really Necessary?

I opted to just delete the 3rd cat in May. I'm VERY happy with the result. Goldilocks says "just right". 😄

    Speedometer, Off?

My Emira reads 1-2 mph higher than GPS speed per Wayz and my radar detector.

Increased cabin noise with 3rd cat straight pipe?

I didn't feel it was necessary (happy with stock valve controller) and didn't want to further complicate things.

Increased cabin noise with 3rd cat straight pipe?

I just completed a 1,200 mile round trip to Gator for my 1 year service (living in Minneapolis is slightly inconvenient 😄). While it was on the lift they installed my GRP 3rd cat delete. The trip home in Tour wasn't noticeably louder, but when I switched to Sport to catch up to a Lambo on I-90...

Thank you McLaren, was a fun outing and the Emira handled it like a champ 😉

Did a 1400 mile rally with 911GT3RSs, AudiR8V10s, Corvettes, BMWM4s andM5s, McLarens. Emira had no problem hanging with all of them. Car is freakin' awesome.

How many miles are you guys getting out of your tires?

I have the same setup. I CLEARLY need to drive the car harder, my tires have too much tread left.

    Reliability for long road trip?

I did a 1400 mile rally into Canada along the north shore of Lake Superior. Car was comfortable and a blast to drive, no issues.

    DIY Emira Maintenance

No. Biggest task is removing/replacing the undertray. Not difficult, just time-consuming. Brakes are no more difficult than any other car.

    Top Speed

Since I'm sure my insurance company and law enforcement (I have a pending citation) reads my posts on this forum, I'm happy to report that the Emira easily handles 60mph in a 60mph zone. 🙂👍
