Wondering -- did you run the car in Track mode with the Track ESC enabled, or fully off? I feel like the Emira holds power back if the steering wheel is not straight, even with Track mode, unless you fully disable the ESC.

The ECU is absolutely listening to the valve controller. Try just leaving it unplugged

I've seen titanium extra hot exhaust system temps cause issues in these cars. Melting valve actuators etc.

What exhaust mod? Remind them of the MV Act.

Are you saying you meant to select 3rd and selected 1st (you were traveling in 2nd gear, high RPMs), or that you shifted from 3rd to 1st accidentally (traveling in 3rd gear, but RPMs unclear)? The latter probably wouldn't damage the engine if you were just cruising around at like 2-3k RPM in...

My dealer aligned the car incorrectly like that, too (0.45º just like my daily driver sedan). I told them I wanted the alignment Lotus calls for and they blew it off. So, never will they do an alignment for me again. Car drives fine but I can't respect the attitude of "we know better than the...

Definitely go with black ppf on the black parts.

@GrahamClark_60-68 The black ppf is significantly deeper black than the OEM paint and clear ppf over OEM paint. all 3 are shown in this photo, with the darkest bit being the black ppf, then above that oem paint, then above and to the right, (barely visible) clear ppf.

here's my seneca blue. has a satin ppf over the blue bits and stek black ppf over the black bits.

I don't think it helps with performance, but it sounds a lot better. Same with the valve controller -- fully open valve sounds match the car's looks. However, the Eventuri Intake does add performance, so that's another mod to consider @midlifecarisis.

it is an add-on part. it can be adjusted to fix that offset, if you'd rather go that route. there's some threads here about it. it can be a bit of a bear. i don't think the car needs it, it shifts fine with the stock set up. also, i should have mentioned -- if the car is hesitant to engage 1st...
