Is it true our tires can’t be patched?

Had three punctures over the years in several Porsches shod in Michelins. All plugged satisfactorily. Just depends where the puncture is. Providing it’s in the body of the tread, not the sidewall, shouldn’t be a problem.

    Seats?

I find the seats very comfortable. I used to get pain in the lumber region of my back after driving my GT4 (fitted with “comfort seats”) for around an hour. No such problems with my Emira. I guess we’re not all built the same!

    ODB Scanners

It connected to the extent that I was able to see mpg, engine temp and other performance data. It did not see health data whatsoever. Even though at the time, I had several features inactive due to a failed airbag ecu.

    Throwing codes

What OBD unit are you using? I’ve tried several and have yet to find one that’s capable of displaying fault codes let alone clearing them. I’ve been told Lotus hold back on providing useful data output. You seem to be getting plenty of it here though.

    ODB Scanners

Tried it. Sent it back. It won’t work with Lotus. Not in any meaningful way. My car was showing lots of faults (all stemming from a faulty airbag ecu). Didn’t see any of em!

Lotus to cut up to 200 jobs in the UK

Agreed. Mostly. They need to keep making cars like the Emira - only better. No bubbling body panels. No dodgy Chinese electronics. Better parts availability. Example… my cars going to the body shop to have the front bumper replaced having been damaged by a careless third party. Readily...

    Spacers anybody?

Thank you for that. As an engineer, I totally get your explanation. I would have thought any manufacturer making plain spacers with no concentric location would have gone out of business. Stands to reason that a concentric location would be a must to make the product properly functional. And of...

    Spacers anybody?

Perhaps someone could explain the meaning of hubcentric? From the posts here, I totally understand the need for them to be this way. However, would be helpful to also have an understanding of the term. Also… surely all spacers are gonna be made hub centric?

Airbag, seat belt and esc inactive warnings. What’s the problem?

I have just purchased a 15 month V6 with less than 1000 miles on the clock. As well as the above, I’m told the parking sensors are inactive and the seat belt indicator shows the belt not bucled and I get the warning chime even though I’m wearing the seat belt. Any thoughts folks?
