Fair comment, if I haven't had it happen to me and the car spends the majority of its life on track then it would more be bad luck if it occurred to anyone.
Cup2 are delivered with the sport pack here so I presume have been tested pretty thoroughly and do not require a baffled pan.
Having said that I have heard a story of someone blowing an engine on track though so your concerns are likely a good discussion topic.
I have been running the CRS for...
After burning through a few sets of Cup2s I have been running the Nangkang CRS now which has been an interesting tyre. Incredible confidence within the first few sessions and a much stronger sidewall feel than the Cup2s. As expected if running full laps until out of fuel they get very greasy and...
I did this some time ago with some cheap black vinyl wrap to play with how low on to the bumper i would want to go. Personally i am a fan but all tastes are different.
This is awesome, good work bro. I like the idea that I could open the draggy app on the main screen of the car to show positive/negative deltas on lap times instead of having a phone fall off a suction mount on my window every few laps. Eagerly waiting and thanks for doing the hard work!
I ran many Dubai track nights during summer (40⁰c and up) and never experienced any type of fade with zero cool down laps. Running Motul and Jubu pads. Rotors are getting pretty cracked now though but that is with roughly 40 track days. Third set of tyres and now third set of pads. Would be...
From my conversations with people also trying to understand this is that when it comes to the automatic cars at least, the 3rd CAN bus is new to the Emira compared to the Evora and is incredibly secured. The result is it needs a couple thousand hours to reverse engineer a solution. This may be a...
@Blackthought_ The stock fluid will be fine, have ran a few sessions in middle east summer and it held up without a problem. The pads as others have mentioned will wear quickly. I say get out there with it stock and have some fun!
I imagine it would take a decent amount of work, would need swapping out the master cylinders, replumbing and putting in a bias control/adjuster all while likely removing ABS. (Although I have not looked into it)
The bigger question would be what are you trying to achieve and are you...
Thanks @VL3X, I used to do the exact same thing and as a result this photo has been the wallpaper for some time.
And Yes to upgraded pads but still standard fluid. Surprisingly have been able to run around 25-30 laps at a time without boiling but it is due for replacement now.
