I'll beta test and take a kit. I can Dragy Test and compare your solution to JB4 and also send any data you need. Let me know if I'm on the list.
I also have an Evora 400 and would like a kit for that and I'd love if your tuning solution could work on my Lotus 3-Eleven. Not sure what we would...
I'm very curious about this too. But they never advertised the gains on it that I saw so I wasnt sure if it was a placeholder and not actually a developed tune. I have 100 Oct race gas available at a pump near me
I think it manipulates the MAP and MAF sensors on the V6 to make the car run at a more aggressive timing map on the factory tune or if the car is using a torque based tune then its manipulating those sensors so it allows a more aggressive torque setting. I'm shooting from the hip here haven't...
I think this car needs 5-6K for a real launch really depends on the grip of the tires. 4K is very likely not enough but I was at the limit of the axle to hold it because of whatever defect or weakness there is.
All runs done on the same stretch of road starting from standstill at the same spot.
Stock run was done at 74 degrees outside with a feathered clutch dump at 3K RPM
Map 1 was at 77 degrees out at 3.5K RPM feathered clutch dump
Map 2 was done at 4K but my axle broke so on this actual recorded...
Map 2 (93 Oct) Quarter mile dragy run no launch
For comparison
Stock (No JB4 connected): 106.79 trap
Map 1: 109.81
Map 2: 112.80
Wild its 3mph each time almost perfectly
I agree with this... my experience is Map 1 feels very similar cruising around to stock but by about 5k there's added urgency. I trapped 3mph more on Map 1 which to me says 40ish whp but I'm recalling how gains affected trap speed from my early 20s Honda Civic Drag Racing days. I'm 35 now.
Map...
Yeah that's Auto Europe's store I've dealt with Don a bit in the past but now I have a local Lotus Dealer need to check with them and see if they have one in stock I'll do that now. Bell and Colvill has been a good resource overseas and in the past could save a lot of money getting parts that...
In my case I think just swapping the axle makes sense. Warranty work could get held up and if I had an axle on hand I could be back at testing this thing today easy. Let me go to Autozone and see if they have them 🤓
Looks like Axles are the same as the Evoras is this correct? I cannot find the Emira listed ones in parts list just axles for the 2.0 Emira on Bell and Colvils parts site
Thank you guys! Though I thought I was doing an irresponsible thing responsibly by launching easier on a known weak trans yeah it got me. But I should be able to do the work myself and hopefully just have to order an axle. I'll definitely update with what damage was done and the fix. I've never...
