I had an email from Customer Care to say that from the 2 dealer demos, only one of these will be drivable with the second a showroom car. Guess this removes the opportunity to test drive sport vs touring.

When I did the LDA a few weeks back a I4 car was there. It was flat red (I’m not sure of the actual colour name but more of a base red than the Magma which was also there). The engine cover looked the same as the blue demo display car - really just a plastic cover and not really worth displaying...

I’m 6’2” and fitted in the car (with helmet) no problem - the seat could go further back still. In terms of the height of the seat itself in the car, it’s ok but it’s not as low as say the bucket seats on a 718. Gavin Kershaw did mention this on a podcast saying that with the electric motors...

During my sessions last week the instructor demoed the exercises then got out of the car as he felt car sick 😂. To be fair he did stay in the car during the final lapping sessions.

Having also attended the day, I’ll also add my thoughts: Like a few of the guys have already said, the cars really do look amazing. I’ll admit that I was a little underwhelmed when I first saw the model that was doing the dealer tours a few months back but seeing them properly out on the road...

Sounds great guys! We’re there any specific skills that you asked the instructors to cover? How many people were on the day per instructor? I’ve got my session on coming up and can’t wait!

How did you find the pedal placement? Any issues with the brake pedal dead travel that a couple of the journo reviews mentioned?

To the guys that did the LDA day, cars aside, how was the day itself? I know that the days have moved away from the set agenda that they had previously under the Gold/Silver/Bronze levels. What did you ask to cover and did you feel your driving improved? Or was the day more of a high end test...

Thanks for posting! Couple of questions if you don’t mind! Was the gear change good on both cars that you drove? How about pedal placement for heel toe? Also who were the instructors that ran the day? The old academy had some pretty good names (BRDC members) have they kept this?

I’m also booked for the LDA at the start of August. If the cars aren’t dynamically up to production spec then they shouldn’t be running this. Looking at the reviews so far there seems to be a good bit of inconsistency between the cars so hopefully this is sorted out before the LDA as buying...
