Well this morning I received my deposit back, just within the 10 days stated when they sent the confirmation email. I am enjoying my new M4 Competition, sadly not the Lotus I was so excited about ordering and receiving. Sadly not the case. Only being 15 miles away from the factory I thought it...
After 3 emails I received one back yesterday telling me my deposit would be returned by the end of this week, beginning of next. Not sure this will happen but who knows with LCC, this has taken around 3 weeks so far.
Had the same email yesterday, I thought this was ironic as it came 2 days after I had asked for a refund of my deposit. Original deposit was April 2022 so they have had plenty of time to sort this out, unfortunately the shine has worn off getting an Emira now and as of last week I have a new M4...
I was also told by a colleague, who is ex Lotus, that over 80% of the production build is for the LHD market, so I don't expect they are rushing to do the first i4 RHD.
I went for the i4 as it has the same running gear as my current AMG Mercedes, from the video clip I cant say that it sounds any better than my current car. I guess I will have to wait another year to find out, if I am lucky:cautious:
Has anyone got any idea regarding how many cancellations there have been? I am now toying with the idea of cancelling my order, especially after being told like many that I am looking at Qtr. 2, 2024 for my delivery. This would be some 26 months since I placed the order.
Had the same email over the weekend, I have a member of staff who is ex Lotus and he still keeps in contact with friends there. I had heard that this was coming but I don't know if I wish to wait for 2 years from ordering the car.
